welcome to our website

Since the closure of the Crawford Arts Centre in 2006, we have been based in a new office in the Town Hall, Queen's Gardens, St Andrews, and are now working as an arts agency with a Fife wide remit. Why not view the digital version of our first touring exhibition 'Past Present', which is now online. Alternatively come and be tempted by a variety of beautiful contemporary craft at the Byre Theatre,St Andrews, (including Andrea Eserin, Lynne Glazzard, and Louise Kirby), and ceramics at Kirkcaldy Museum & Art Gallery (Tracey Birchwood , Ralph Jandrell & Susan McGill).

Check out one of our partner organisations in Newburgh, Steeple Arts and their first artist in residence, Jeanette Sendler. The last Showcase exhibition of the residency ('Tangles') is on at The Steeple, High St, Newburgh, from 23 - 30 March 2008.

The next exhibition on MAC, Fife's mobile museum run from Kirkcaldy Museum & Art Gallery, is called 'Making Spaces' and looks at the different places in which artists - past and present - have created art. FCA&C have been heavily involved in the development & realisation of this exhibition, including the appointment of 5 artists in residence to tour with MAC. It will be visiting many of Fife's schools during 2008, but will also be open to the general public at times - look out for publicity of its opening dates/times.

The deadline for the second round of the Small Grants for Makers in Fife awards is now passed. It is hoped that there will be sufficient funding in the forthcoming financial year to enable a further 2 rounds of such grants to be given out. More news when we get it!
